Bruxelles Environnement-IBGE

The SOILL project collaborates with Bruxelles Environnement-IBGE, the regional environmental administration for the Brussels-Capital Region. Tasked with conducting research, environmental planning, and providing advisory services, Bruxelles Environnement manages critical environmental themes, including ground and soil health, water, air, biodiversity, and green spaces.

The SOILL project collaborates with the Technological University of the Shannon (TUS), an institution that demonstrates a strong commitment to soil health through its leadership in the SOILCRATES project and the establishment of the Ireland South-West Living Lab. This synergy focuses on restoring soil life and promoting sustainable agricultural practices across the Irish Mid-West region, including Clare, Limerick, and Tipperary.

The SOILL project collaborates with TP Organics, an officially recognised European Technology Platform (ETP) dedicated to shaping research and innovation for the organic and agroecological sectors. This synergy connects SOILL’s objectives with TP Organics' mission to develop comprehensive research agendas and roadmaps at both the European and national levels.

University of Turin

SOILL collaborates with the University of Turin (UniTo), a higher education institution actively committed to soil health, sustainability, and urban regeneration. Centred primarily within its Department of Agricultural, Forestry and Food Sciences (DISAFA) and the AGROINNOVA Centre of Competence, UniTo brings extensive expertise in advanced agro-environmental research to this synergy. UniTo's specialised research in soil microbiology, fungi- and bacteria-based bioremediation, and climate resilience.

The SOILL project partners with the Re Soil Foundation, an initiative established in 2020 by the University of Bologna, Coldiretti, Novamont, and Turin Polytechnic to safeguard soil as a vital natural resource. Driven by a shared mission to catalyse a step-change in soil health and promote local regeneration, this synergy bridges scientific research, technological innovation, and educational outreach.

The SOILL project collaborates with the Centro Tecnológico de la Energía y del Medio Ambiente (CETENMA), a strategic technological partner focused on sustainability, the circular economy, and the energy transition, but also specifically on the Soil Health. CETENMA promotes the management and restoration of soils as living ecosystems through advanced research and development, comprehensive diagnostic studies, and robust analytical capabilities.
