TP Organics

The SOILL project collaborates with TP Organics, an officially recognised European Technology Platform (ETP) dedicated to shaping research and innovation for the organic and agroecological sectors. This synergy connects SOILL’s objectives with TP Organics' mission to develop comprehensive research agendas and roadmaps at both the European and national levels. By uniting a broad network of over 160 member organisations—ranging from farmers and researchers to small enterprises and civil society organisations—TP Organics brings extensive reach and sector-specific expertise to the collaboration. Together, the initiatives focus on advancing sustainable, resilient food and farming systems based on the principles of organic agriculture and agroecology, while advocating for increased research funding to support these sustainable approaches. The work of TP Organics is co-financed by the LIFE programme of the European Union, under the Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency (CINEA).

A central component of this collaboration is the alignment of research priorities and the active promotion of knowledge exchange across the entire organic value chain. This shared focus on actionable research and inclusive innovation was directly applied during the SOILL-Startup Thematic Engagement Event, “Organic Agriculture and Agroecology: Partnering with Living Labs to Improve Soil Health.” Held on June 4, 2025, in Brussels, Belgium, this event provided a platform for both initiatives to integrate their efforts. Through this gathering, the SOILL project and TP Organics facilitated practical knowledge exchange among stakeholders, leveraging living labs to test, refine, and improve soil health practices in real-world agricultural settings.
