NBSOIL

The synergy between SOILL and the EU-funded NBSOIL project is reflected in NBSOIL's contribution to the SOILL-Startup Thematic Engagement Event "Protecting and Enhancing Forest Soil Health: Tools for Forest Advisors", held in Kaunas (Lithuania) on 1 October 2025. The project supports the transition towards healthier soils by promoting Nature-Based Solutions (NBS) across Europe. 

NBSOIL is developing a multilingual, blended learning programme to equip soil advisors with the knowledge and skills needed for holistic soil health management. The training combines online and advanced modules and focuses on key NBS approaches, including organic fertilisers, cover crops, paludiculture, forest diversification, bioremediation, and blue-green infrastructure. 

The project contributes tools, knowledge resources, and training frameworks to strengthen soil advisory services, support decision-making, and mainstream NBS in land management, in line with European soil policy and the Soil Health Mission.
