LILAS4SOILS

The synergy between SOILL and the EU-funded LILAS4SOILS project is reflected in LILAS4SOILS' contribution to the SOILL-Startup Thematic Engagement Event "Europe's First Soil Monitoring Law: Opportunities for Policy, Research, and Practice", held in Brussels, Belgium, on 18 September 2025. The project addresses the challenges of soil degradation and climate change in European agricultural systems through carbon farming approaches. 

LILAS4SOILS establishes Living Labs and demonstration sites to co-create and implement carbon farming practices with farmers, researchers, and stakeholders. It also develops and applies harmonised Monitoring, Reporting, and Verification tools to assess soil carbon sequestration and environmental benefits. 

The project contributes practical solutions, knowledge exchange activities, and scalable tools to support sustainable agriculture, enhance soil health, and promote climate mitigation and adaptation across Europe.
