HuMUS

The synergy between SOILL and the EU-funded HuMUS project was reflected in HuMUS' contribution to the SOILL-Startup Thematic Engagement Event "PREPSOIL Final Event: Facilitating the Deployment of the Mission Soil across European Regions", held in Brussels, Belgium, on 26 May 2025. The project supported the implementation of the EU Soil Mission by strengthening soil health awareness and engagement at regional and local levels.

HuMUS created spaces for dialogue among citizens, policymakers, researchers, and land managers, enabling co-creation of solutions to address soil challenges. It also supported pilot actions and participatory processes to foster shared understanding and promote sustainable soil management practices.

The project contributed to increased soil literacy, stronger stakeholder collaboration, and the uptake of soil health initiatives across municipalities and regions, helping to accelerate the transition towards healthier soils in Europe.
