EMSW 2025

SOILL-Startup is excited to take part in the 3rd edition of the European Mission Soil Week (EMSW), taking place on 5–6 November 2025 at Aarhus University, Denmark. Organised under the Danish Presidency of the Council of the EU, this year’s theme – “Leading the transition towards healthy soils: finance and landscape perspectives” – marks a critical moment for European soil policy and sustainable land management.

As the support structure for Soil Health Living Labs and Lighthouses, and therefore an active contributor to Europe’s soil innovation landscape, SOILL-Startup will be present throughout the event, engaging with partners and stakeholders to explore solutions that support sustainable soil management and the green transition.

The 2025 EMSW arrives at a crucial time for European soil policy, following the provisional agreement on the EU Soil Monitoring and Resilience Directive. The event will focus on how public and private investment can accelerate the shift to sustainable land use, and will showcase the Danish model for multifunctional landscapes and stakeholder-driven green transition initiatives.

SOILL-Startup’s work aligns closely with these themes. Through our Living Labs and community-based innovation approach, we support the development of business models and governance frameworks that empower land users and regions to restore and protect soil health.

We look forward to connecting with stakeholders across sectors — including researchers, policymakers, businesses, financial institutions, and civil society — to share knowledge, build partnerships, and contribute to shaping a healthier, more resilient future for Europe’s soils.

Stay tuned for more details about our activities and presence at the event.
