On 26 May 2025, the PREPSOIL Final Event will bring together key stakeholders from across Europe to advance soil health policies and practices. Held at the European Committee of the Regions in Brussels and streamlined live, the event marks a significant milestone in supporting the rollout of the EU Mission: A Soil Deal for Europe and the proposed Soil Monitoring Law at regional and local levels.

The event will feature expert talks, panel discussions, and interactive sessions focusing on how regions and local actors can implement sustainable soil management and co-create Living Labs for soil health. Participants will gain insights into tools, strategies, and collaborative opportunities that empower public authorities, researchers, and civil society to work together towards the EU’s goal of healthy soils by 2050.

SOILL-Sturtup role at the event

As part of Session 2: The Regional Role of Soil Health Living Labs for Multi-Actor Co-Creation, Laura Nouguès from Deltares, a partner in the SOILL-Startup project, will deliver a dedicated talk on “SOILL & SOILL-Startup – Scaling Impact Beyond PREPSOIL.” Her presentation will highlight how SOILL-Startup is building on the work of PREPSOIL to expand the Living Lab approach, support new initiatives, and ensure continuity and impact across regions in Europe.

The event offers a valuable platform for networking and collaboration, particularly for those involved or interested in Mission Soil Living Labs, organic and agroecological practices, and territorial governance for soil protection. It is especially relevant for policymakers, regional authorities, researchers, and practitioners working on sustainable land use and environmental health.
