The Swedish Agency for Innovation Systems is organizing the seminar "Horizon Europe: What is a Living Lab and How Do You Participate?" to introduce the concept of Living Labs as a method for testing and demonstrating innovative solutions to land use and agricultural challenges.
The seminar will take place on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, from 13:30 to 16:30 (CET), at Kungl. Skogs- och Lantbruksakademien (KSLA), in Stockholm. For those unable to attend in person, there will also be an option to participate virtually.
The event is aimed at researchers, farmers, foresters, landowners, civil society actors, and companies involved in soil health and land use. It will provide an overview of the current Horizon Europe programs, including Mission Soil and AGROECOLOGY, with a focus on how these initiatives aim to accelerate the transition to sustainable land management practices.
What You Will Learn:
- Living Labs Methodology: Understand the fundamentals of a Living Lab, how to organize and participate in one, and how this method fosters collaboration between researchers and landowners.
- EU Mission Soil & AGROECOLOGY Partnership: Gain valuable insights into these key EU initiatives and their role in advancing sustainable land management practices across Europe.
- Practical Examples: Learn from Swedish actors involved in Living Lab projects, such as the iCOSHELLs project and the AGROECOLOGY partnership, who will share their experiences and lessons learned. iCOSHELLs is one of the projects awarded under the 2023 Mission Soil topics, focused on establishing Mission Soil Living Labs and Lighthouses. It contributes to the first wave of 25 Mission Soil Living Labs across 10 European countries.
To attend the seminar, please register via the KSLA calendar by January 13, 2025.
Don’t miss the opportunity to engage with key actors and learn more about the future of sustainable land use through Living Labs.
