Building the Next Generation of Soil Health Living Labs

Have you heard of the EU Mission "A Soil Deal for Europe", also known as Mission Soil? Or the network of Soil Living Labs and Lighthouses? Are you curious to learn more or explore ways to get involved in future funding opportunities?

This online event is the first in a series of public events hosted by SOILL-Stepup, aimed at promoting upcoming funding opportunities. Each event will focus on relevant themes for prospective applicants.

On 29 October 2026, attendees will learn about Mission Soil, the SOILL project and its services, and future funding opportunities. They will also gain a better understanding of the "what, why, and how" of Soil Living Labs and Lighthouses, from how they are defined and why they bring value in today's world to how their performance can be assessed.

The event will also feature a presentation from an active Soil Living Lab, which will share its experiences and insights.

Attendees will be encouraged to engage through Q&A sessions or by pitching their organisations or ideas to facilitate matchmaking and consortium building.

Interested in pitching?

If you are interested in connecting with like-minded attendees, showcasing your or your organisation's expertise, and exploring opportunities for future collaboration, we encourage you to participate in the pitching session.

Participants looking for partners will have a unique opportunity to present their organisations and project ideas to the audience through a brief two-minute oral presentation.

For the pitching session, please use the presentation template available on the SOILL Hub event page. Only one presentation per entity will be accepted.

Due to time constraints, presentations will be selected on a first-come, first-served basis. The order of presentations will be determined by when the final PowerPoint presentations are received.

The event host reserves the right to limit the number of presentations accepted due to time constraints. Further instructions will be sent by email to interested participants.

To participate, please send an email with your presentation attached to events@soill2030.eu by 28 October 2026 at 12:00 CET.
